My story THOR GANG FOUR is in the latest issue of the Comix Reader (#5), available in all good stores but nowhere as good as Gosh! comics.
STALKER SHOE, previously only seen here, is now available to read on real paper in Off-Life #7.
Yeah...yeah...i sort of did sort of like, say a lot of....yeah, sort of... stuff when i spoke to the mad-nice Steve and Jack of the brilliant SOUTH LONDON HARDCORE but it was the first time i ever spoke to anyone about my comics and work -so i excuse myself!!! Also been uploading stuff on my Tumblr- mainly bits from my forthcoming book 'BAZOIK' from the Fancy Butcher press....and i foresee this here 'newsblog' going down the toilet soon, so if you're interested- i urge you to check me out on tumblr instead.
That was the news.

The super-dope new online comic-book store IMPOSSIBLE BOOKS now stocks Fancy Butcher Books. You would not be doing yourself a disservice by checking it out cos there is a tonne of eye-popping stuff on there that is usually hard to come by this side of the pond.
From now on i'm posting works in progress etc over on me TUMBLR and leaving this space for news and whatnot -and they say no news is good news. But some news is good news like Kevin Ward's The Fur Trap getting funded and i'm looking forward to seeing (and hearing) that! Amen.

Obviously Kevin is one of my most FAVOURITE illustrators/cartoonists and the artwork is beautiful but apart from that there is also a 7" record to accompany the book which i have not heard- but must!!!
"Half pulp-horror, half-fairytale, The Fur Trap is a mutant musical storybook that camps out in the wilderness of illustrated fiction for adults. Accompanied by an original vinyl soundtrack of rock'n'roll, weird country and far-northern soul."

Does (did) anyone still (ever) read this blog? I'm not sure if it's worth continuing posting stuff on here, though saying that, i rarely do these days anyway. Infact it was meant to be a working record for myself in the first place- it's not like i'm running a TV channel or anything!!

The postie stopped off on his way to the bookies to deliver me this the other day: The new WORKBURGER book (Stripburger #59&60).
I'm chuffed to bits* to have a 3 page story inside -'The Invincible Iron Manager' and by coincidence, the other 3 UK strips featured are all by Comix Reader contributors too: Alex Potts, Paul Ashley-Brown and Paul O'Connell/ Lawrence Elwick. Stripburger can be hard to find in the UK but its well worth having a peep at if you get the chance. Word.
*how come there are hundreds of new slang words for good, bad, ugly and pretty but no new phrase to replace 'chuffed to bits'? Or is there?? I need a new one, and not 'pleased as punch'.

About 3 or 4 years ago i made a little 'Minder' Comic, i just dug up the original pages and decided to do a small 2nd printrun with all new cover(left). There's nothing i don't love about the show- writing, dialogue, characters, actors, locations, theme song, credits. Nothing i don't love. I challenge anybody to find something bad about it! (up until Terry McCann left, i mean).Issues of 'Minder' can be purchased from all bookstores* worldwide** from Monday.
On a Telly-Comics related note- The Forbidden Planet Blog is featuring strips from me and Paul O'Connell's forthcoming (at Last) 'Look Out!' project, on the 1st of every month.
"Look out- it's LOOK OUT!" this month featured Krent's Banana Splits poster, Paul's 'Jamie and the magic Torch' (!) and my version of 'Magnum'.
*that sell comics
**as long as i can walk there

I can't believe that Hurricane Ivan managed to put an 'exquisite corpse' comic together with 170 artists contributing! It's in Italian so i can't read it too good but I'm really pleased as punch whatever, to be in it alongside people whose work i have been looking at for years like AL JAFFEE (!!!), Robt Armstrong (!) Denis Kitchen, Skip Williamson and Doug Allen amongst others. Not forgetting Vaughn Bode's son and people like MATS?!, Bryan Talbot, good old Tobias Tak, a bunch of dope italian cartoonists and not forgetting Hurricane Ivan himself who's got crazy-talent
